The Homes at Swan Pond is a community of 140 single family homes, built in 70 groups of 2 homes, located just off West Street just about half a mile from the center of the town of Walpole. In early Colonial times, the area was a part of Dedham, but with growth, Walpole became incorporated in 1724, the name of the town being chosen because Sir Robert Walpole (1676-1745) had shown much kindness to the Colonists.
